Quickstart

Build your first app with Kuika AI in a few minutes. Sign in, describe the app, pick Web or Mobile, watch it appear, and make your first edit.

To build your first app, sign in to Kuika AI, type what you want into the box on the home page, pick Web or Mobile, and send it. Kuika AI builds the app while you watch, and you can try it in the preview as soon as it opens.

  1. Sign in to Kuika AI and open the home page.
  2. Click the prompt box. It says Describe the app you want.
  3. Choose the kind of app with the Web / Mobile selector. Web is a browser app. Mobile is a phone app shown in a phone frame.
  4. Type what you want, for example: A booking app for a small dental clinic with patients, appointments and a calendar view.
  5. Send the prompt with the send button, or press Enter.

Watch it get built

Kuika AI builds the app in steps and shows you the progress. Screens appear one by one, and the preview opens when there is something to show. A build screen tells you what Kuika AI is working on right now and how long is left. If you do not want to wait, use Notify me and Kuika AI tells you when it is done.

If you want to see the plan before anything is built, turn on Plan mode first. See Plan mode.

Look at the preview

The preview is your running app. Click through it like a real user. Use the width switch above the preview to see it at desktop, tablet or mobile width.

Make your first edit

Now change something. In the chat box, type one change in plain words:

Kuika AI changes only the part that matters and the preview updates. You can also click an element in the preview and edit it directly. See Chat editing and Click to edit. Every change is saved as a version, so you can go back if you do not like it.

Other ways to start

Besides a written prompt, Kuika AI can start an app from something you already have. Open the + menu in the prompt box and look under Start from. What you see depends on your workspace, because each source can be turned on or off:

  • Screenshot. Upload up to six images and Kuika AI builds screens from them.
  • Website. Give a public web address and Kuika AI rebuilds the page as an editable screen.
  • Figma. Connect your Figma account, pick frames, and Kuika AI turns them into screens.
  • GitHub. Give a repository address and Kuika AI rebuilds its screens on its own foundation. It does not copy or run the original code.
  • Lovable (beta). Move a Lovable project into Kuika AI.

In every case the import is only a starting point. You keep refining the app in chat.
