Mobile apps
Build a mobile app with Kuika AI by choosing Mobile on the home page, then preview it in a phone frame and edit it by clicking.
To build a mobile app, choose Mobile on the home page before you send your prompt. Kuika AI builds a phone app (with Expo and React Native) on the same kind of backend and database as a web app, and shows it in a phone-shaped frame right in your browser.
Choose Mobile
- On the home page, find the Target option in the prompt box.
- Switch it from Web to Mobile.
- Describe your app and send it.
This is the only way to get a mobile app. Kuika AI never switches to mobile on its own. If you stay on Web but your prompt sounds like a phone app, Kuika AI asks Build a mobile app? with two choices: Switch to Mobile or Continue with Web. A prompt like "a mobile-friendly CRM" is still treated as a web app.

What is the same as web
Your mobile app uses the same backend and database as a web app. That includes your tables, sign-in, roles and permissions, file storage, scheduled jobs, AI features and email. Kuika AI builds the screens, and they talk to the backend for you. See Database and Sign-in and accounts for how those work.
The look is shared too. If you pin a design system, the mobile app uses the same colors as the web version, in light and dark. See Design and themes.
What is different
- Navigation uses bottom tabs, at most five. Other screens open from links and go back to their parent.
- The app follows the phone's light or dark setting. Ask for a light or dark app if you want to lock it.
- Kuika AI builds screens from a mobile set of building blocks: forms, pickers, sheets, toasts, a barcode and QR scanner, and a location button.
Phone-framed preview
The chat page shows your app inside a phone frame, titled Mobile preview. It runs in your browser tab, so there is nothing to install. You are signed in as a preview user automatically, and you can switch the role you preview as.
If a screen crashes, you see an error card with a way to try again, and Kuika AI gets the error details to fix it.
Edit by clicking
Click-to-edit works on the phone frame like it does for web apps. Select an element and you can use the AI edit, edit its text, delete it, or open it in the code. Style tools such as colors and spacing are not available on mobile, so ask the AI in chat for those. Apps created earlier may need an update before click-to-edit works. See Click to edit.
Open on your real phone (beta)
If your workspace has it enabled, you can also open the app on your own phone. This is in beta.
- Open the Device panel under the preview and select Open on device.
- Wait for Preparing the phone preview… to finish and the QR code to appear.
- Scan it with your phone's camera and tap Open in Kuika Go.
Kuika Go is Kuika AI's phone app, and it works on iPhone and Android. Keep the Kuika AI preview tab open in front while you test. If the preview address changes, scan the new QR code.
Limits
- Some web features are not available in mobile apps yet, such as the SEO panel, reports and the built-in app assistant.
- Test environment publishing deploys the web build and backend, not a store version.
