Design and themes
Change how your app looks with 30 ready themes, live color, font and corner editing, or your own design system.
Every app Kuika AI builds has one place that holds its look: colors, fonts, corner styles, text sizes and motion. Change it once and the whole app follows. You can ask the AI in chat, start from one of 30 ready themes, or build your own design system and reuse it across apps.
Change the look from chat
The quickest way is to say what you want.
Use a deep green accent color and make the whole app dark
Kuika AI changes the app's design settings, not each screen one by one. So a new color shows up in buttons, charts, badges and every other screen at once. If one spot stays the old color after a change, tell the AI which screen it is and it will fix it.
Design systems
A design system is a saved set of colors, fonts, corner styles, shadows and motion that you can reuse. Open Design System in the left sidebar to see yours.
Start from a ready theme
- Open Design System and select New design system.
- Choose Start from a template and pick one of the 30 ready themes. Each one shows its light or dark default and its corner style.
- Give it a name and select Create.
You get your own editable copy. Changing it never touches the original theme.
Start from scratch or describe it
- Start from scratch gives you a ready-to-edit base, not an empty page.
- Generate with AI lets you describe the look you want, for example a calm navy and turquoise style for a finance app. Review the result, then save it as a draft or regenerate it.
- Keep refining in the design assistant with short follow-ups such as "make the primary deeper" or "rounder corners".
Edit colors, fonts and corners live
The builder has a section for each part of the look: Colors, Typography, Spacing, Layout, Radius, Borders, Shadows, Motion, Icons and Components. Pick a setting, change its value, and the preview updates as you go. You can set a separate value for light and dark mode, and switch the preview between Light and Dark.
Select Save draft to keep your work. Select Publish when it is ready to use in apps. Published systems get a version number such as v2.
Use a design system in an app
On the home page, the prompt box has a Design system option. Pick one of yours, or a template, before you send your prompt. Choose None and the AI designs a look made for that app.
If the design system cannot be applied, Kuika AI tells you in the chat and the app uses its own colors instead. An app that already has its own design settings keeps them.
You can also open the design tool next to the preview of an existing app. It opens a side panel where you edit values while you watch the app, with a light and dark switch for the preview.
Web and mobile share the same values
If you build a mobile app with the same design system, it uses the same colors, in light and dark. One brand look, two kinds of apps.
Tips
- Pick your main color first. It is used for the main button, links and focus outlines.
- Ask for light or dark if you want to lock the mode.
- Fonts come from Google Fonts. Ask for a font by name or by feel, like "friendly rounded headings".
- Kuika AI keeps text readable. If a color pair is hard to read, it adjusts it.
