Project knowledge
Give the AI standing instructions for an app, such as language, currency and always-or-never rules, and keep a log of decisions.
Project knowledge is a short set of rules you write once for an app, so the AI follows them every time. Use it for things you would otherwise repeat in every message, like "UI in Turkish" or "never use red". Kuika AI also keeps a decision log of lasting choices you make in chat.
When to use it
Use project knowledge when a rule should hold for the whole app, not just one request:
- The language and currency of the app
- What the app is for and who uses it
- Things the AI must always do, or never do
For a one-off change, just write it in chat.
Where to find it
Open More in the builder and choose Knowledge. The Rules tab has these boxes:
- About this app: what it is for (What is it for?) and who uses it (Who uses it?).
- Language & format: UI language, Currency, Date format and Writing tone. Each can stay Not set.
- Always and Never: one rule per row. Type into Add a rule, press Enter, and remove a rule with its X button.
- Other notes: appears only if older free-form notes don't fit the boxes. Nothing is dropped.
Everyone who can edit the app can save changes. Others see the boxes read-only. Keep it short: the limit is 4,000 characters, and short, precise sentences work best.
Examples
| Box | Example |
|---|---|
| Always | Show prices with two decimals |
| Always | Write buttons in short verbs, like "Save" |
| Never | Use red for anything except errors |
| Never | Add a footer to the sign-in page |
Where the AI uses it
The AI reads your knowledge at the start of each run: when it builds new screens, when you edit by chat, and when it fixes a failing test. Click-to-edit does not use it, because the AI is not involved there. The chips at the top of the panel show where it is used.
This is for the AI that builds your app. It is separate from any documents your app's own assistants answer from.
Decisions
When you state a lasting choice in chat, such as "from now on all dates are dd.mm.yyyy", Kuika AI records it in the decision log. A chip appears under your message, like Decision recorded: D-0042, with a button for when it got it wrong.
- If Kuika AI can quote your own words, the decision is accepted right away.
- If not, it waits for approval from the app owner. Open the Decisions tab under More > Knowledge and choose Approve or Not right.
- To turn a decision into a written rule, choose Make a rule. It adds a line under Always or Never.
Decisions are never deleted. They can be waiting, accepted, replaced, reverted or withdrawn, and the history stays. If you restore an older version of the app, Version history also reverts decisions made after it that affected the code.
Skills
If your workspace has skills enabled, a skill is a reusable way of working that you can use across many apps, for example "every admin table has sticky headers and CSV export". Knowledge is for one app. A skill is for a way of working you want in many apps.
- Pick skills in the message box: open the + menu and choose Skills, or type
/and the skill's name. You can attach up to 3 per message. - Create your own under Settings > Skills with New skill, or ask the AI to draft one. Skills can be personal or shared with the workspace.
- Kuika AI also includes built-in skills, for design and for sign-in and roles, that it can use on its own when a request fits.
After the answer, you see which skills were used.
