Download your code

Download the full source of your app as a ZIP, or send it to a GitHub repository automatically after every change.

The code is yours. Download your whole app as a ZIP file, or connect a GitHub repository and Kuika AI sends your code there after every change. Apps are built with React and ASP.NET Core, so any developer can pick them up.

Download a ZIP

  1. Open More actions in the builder.
  2. Choose Download source. You can also use Download source (.zip) in the Share menu.
  3. Your browser saves one ZIP file named after your app.

What is inside

  • Every file of the app. It builds on its own.
  • A README.md with a Running locally section: what to install and how to start the back end and the web app.
  • A Docker file for the back end.

Folders such as node_modules and build output are left out, and so are files that only make sense inside Kuika AI.

Your scheduled jobs keep working outside Kuika AI. Things that depend on keys, such as sending e-mail or connecting to outside services, need you to set your own values on your server. The README lists them. The secrets you saved in Kuika AI are not in the ZIP.

For a mobile app, the ZIP has the same back end plus an Expo folder for the phone app.

Send your code to GitHub

  1. Press the GitHub button in the top bar.
  2. Choose Connect GitHub, sign in, and install the Kuika AI GitHub App on your account or organization.
  3. Create a new repository or pick an existing one.

After that, Kuika AI pushes one commit after every successful build, every chat edit and every restore. Press Sync now to push on demand. The button tooltip shows the state, such as Synced with GitHub or GitHub sync failed.

One-way sync

Sync goes in one direction only: from Kuika AI to GitHub. Changes you make directly on GitHub do not come back into Kuika AI. Two-way sync is planned, but it is not available today.

Kuika AI never force-pushes. If your repository has commits that Kuika AI did not make, automatic sync pauses and shows Review on GitHub, so your own commits stay safe.

When sync is held back

  • Open critical security findings block sync. See Security scan.
  • Sync waits briefly while the preview is deploying.
  • If the repository was deleted or renamed, the state becomes Repository missing.

Company setups

Companies can also hand a whole project over to their own servers, with deployment files included, and some setups can push to other git services. Ask your administrator if your organization uses this.
