Send a link so others can try your app, invite people to work on it with you, and publish it to the Test environment so a whole team can use it.

Goal: get your app in front of other people, in the way that fits what you need.
What you will do
- Share a link so someone can try the app
- Choose what data visitors start with
- Invite a teammate to work on the app with you
- Publish the app to the Test environment
Three ways to share
| You want to | Use |
|---|---|
| Show the app to someone quickly | A share link |
| Build the app together with a colleague | Manage access |
| Let a team use the app every day on the same data | The Test environment |
Steps: share a link
- Press Share in the builder and then Copy link.
- Choose what visitors start with: "My latest data" or "Empty data".
- Send the link. Each visitor gets their own copy of the data in their own browser. Nothing they do changes your data.
Steps: build together
- Press Share and choose Manage access.
- Invite a person by email and give them a role.
- Work together. One person edits at a time, and the editor can hand over. You can share the chat and leave comments on the preview.
Steps: publish to Test
- Open the Publish menu with the Publish button or Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + P.
- Run the security scan in the same menu. It checks for common problems before anyone else uses the app.
- Press "Publish to Test". Kuika AI builds the app and shows the progress. When it is done you get an HTTPS address.
- Share that address. Everyone who opens it works on the same database.
- Redeploy after changes. Test is a snapshot. Your later edits reach it only when you publish again.
Test goes to sleep when nobody uses it for a while. The next visit wakes it up, which can take up to two minutes.
Try this before you share
Make the first screen welcoming for people who see the app for the first time:
Add a short welcome message on the home screen that explains in one line what the reading club app is for, with a button to suggest a book.
Check yourself
- Which option would you use so a whole team sees the same data?
- What happens to your data when a visitor edits something through a share link?
- Why do you need to publish again after making changes?
You finished the course. Your next step: build an app for a real need of your own, starting with Plan mode on.
